How LED Lamp LED signs work

On the table below, we give a brief overview of the quality provided for our Australian clients. Using high quality, genuine graded components, our famous led signs are used all over Australia.

Pulsating electrical charges controlled by software (fonts and letters) are stored inside the led sign panel and when activated, illuminate the led lamp. Each lamp (pixel) is nested in a placeholder, thus making up the length and height of the illuminated sign. The resolution is determined by how many pixels are high and across. When the sign is programmed and turned on, each pixel can illuminate independently and appear to 'glide' along the sign board panel. In reality, it is a case of each pixel (led lamp) being charged with electricity in an on-off situation.

Example, If the pixel A sits next to pixel B, then is alternatively turned on-off. It would appear like the dot moves. This is the basis how our scrolling message signs work. The above picture shows how a led pixel glows. Below is a video that shows some of the process and equipment involved.

Each tiny pixel (LED LAMP) is powered and illuminates - lights up from electricity.

Cutting edge technology and options

The oval lid LED is for variable-message-signs and passenger information signs, the oval shaped radiating bubble pattern and high luminous intensity of output for devices provide excellent wide-field of view for outdoor and indoor applications.

The lamps used are made with optical epoxy that offer high temperature and high moisture resistance and anti fade performance in sign applications. The encapsulation resin contains UV protective material in order to reduce effects of exposure to sunlight.

Make up of the board

It may seem a simple consideration, but even the projected height above the holding panel of each lamp is important and greatly effects the illumination of your sign. We take great care to ensure that the lamps are even inside each placeholder and evenly 'heighted' along the holding panel.
